Fall Fun in Apalachicola

Join us for the ApalachiCares Fresh Market on Monday, October 20th from 5-7pm featuring fresh seafood, homemade baked goods, local artisans, and so much more. Live music on the mainstage by Albany native, Evan Barber, as a little sneak peak of his upcoming feature in the next installment of Songwriters in the Round next month! While he may not be a household name at present, Evan Barber is no stranger to the Americana/roots music scene in the south. He's has been writing, recording, and touring across his native territory for the better part of the past decade. He’s cut his teeth sharing the stage with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Blackberry Smoke, Jason Isbell, and the Drive-by Truckers — just to name a few. His songs are sketches of the American South; honest-to-goodness stories lifted from the prairies situated below the heart of Appalachia.

SINGO — everyone's new favorite national drinking pastime that's all the rage — is back with local Emmy Award nominated singer songwriter host, Clayton Mathis, on Tuesday, October 21st from 6-8pm. Go ahead and mark every Tuesday in your calendar as Singo night! It's just as simple as it sounds: music bingo. Instead of listening for numbers, you're listening to your favorite tunes! There's only one rule for playing this game: HAVE FUN!

Class is in session! We're having a little fun with a back to school twist at AYC with an Adult Spelling Bee on Wednesday, October 22nd from 6-8pm. Join us for an evening of off the wall of entertainment to benefit the Apalachicola Margaret Key Public Library! The rules are simple: ten contestants compete to spell each word correctly to advance to the next round until the bitter end. Each contestant gets three lifelines: Phone a Friend, Ask the Audience, or Consult the Dictionary. First prize is an AYC 2026 Annual Membership, second prize is a $30 gift certificate, and third prize is a flagship tee or hat.

Not your speed? Appreciate the beautiful weather with RiverDog Yoga hosted by Yogi Connie Sams on Wednesday, October 22nd from 6-7pm on the gorgeous front green. This active vinyasa flow is open to all levels and will make you get down, up, and down again while you laugh, play, and cultivate your own yogi strength. $15 gets you all the good vibes you can soak up, plus an additional $2 off a beverage of your choice before, after, or during class!

Singer Songwriter Night returns local favorite, Corey Hall, to the stage on Thursday, October 23rd from 6-9pm! Winner of the NWFL Regional Blues Challenge, and repeat performer in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Corey brings so much heart and soul wherever he sings. In the words of our esteemed friend, Kerry Caps: “To hear Corey play the blues is to step back into history to the formative days of the genre, when field hollers mixed with African rhythms, jazz, folklore and even a touch of vaudeville to create something distinctly American.” Don't miss his one of a kind performance of Florida grown blues, roots, and folk music!

There's been a last minute switcharoo to the entertainment schedule, but fret not — we've got something saucy in store for you! The Brown Goose Duo swoops in the save the day Friday, October 24th from 7-10pm. One of North Florida's most prolific artists, Mike Ingram, is renowned for his nostalgic edge on modern music and classic hits from across the spectrum. Listen to Mike croon with a special guest to put the cap off a wonderful Friday afternoon!

We've got one other slight deviation from our regularly scheduled programming... the Apalachicola Yacht club will be CLOSED to the public all day on Saturday, October 25th for a private event. Raise one up to the lovely bride and groom!
