Join us in giving a warm welcome to Billy Rigsby on Thursday, January 4th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm for Singer Songwriter Night. The one and only Billy Rigsby has been keeping soul alive and well in the Big Bend for decades, opening for legends such as James Brown and Earth, Wind, & Fire. Rigsby has spent a lifetime cultivating his unique sound of funky neo-soul, classic R&B, and southern blues into a world class act that you won't want to miss.
Local zydeco swamp pop aficionados Hot Mess return for their monthly residency to serve up the ultimate eclectic blend of your favorite tunes from the 60's to present on Friday, January 5th from 6:00 - 9:00pm. Don't worry — it's nice and toasty in the Club, so come out for a beverage and mingle with some familiar faces to catch up after the whirlwind holiday season.
Drawing the week to a close is yet another special debut on the AYC stage. Blues Meets Girl takes the stage on Saturday, January 6th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm for an evening of blues woven with the threaded influence of roots, rock, folk, and jazz. London born Mr. Downchild is an international blues artist whose authentic vocals, harmonica and guitar were recognized by Grammy winning Blues Hall of Famer Robert Lockwood Jr, who also served as Mr. Downchild's mentor and appeared on his first album. Kasimira is a Southern born and Northern raised singer songwriter whose superpower is tapping into her soul and pouring it into every lyric by using her over three octave range.
