Mardi Gras Barkus at the Apalachicola Yacht Club

Ahoy, Mateys!

Mardi Gras Barkus weekend is almost upon us once more! Get your tails wagging for the 13th Annual Mardi Gras Barkus Pet Parade this weekend, presented by the Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers. We've got one helluva doggone line up so git along that long road and don't you dare miss it!

Start your week off the right way and join us for Go with the Flow Yoga on Monday, February 19th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Go with the Flow is an active vinyasa flow that'll make you get down, up, and down again while you laugh, play, and cultivate your own yogi strength. $15 gets you all the good vibes you can soak up, plus an additional $2 off a beverage of your choice before, after, or during class!

SINGO — everyone's new favorite national drinking pastime and that's all the new rage — is back again on Tuesday, February 20th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Go ahead and mark every Tuesday in your calendar as Singo night! It's just as simple as it sounds: music bingo. Instead of listening for numbers, you're listening to your favorite tunes! There's only one rule for playing this game: HAVE FUN!

The powerful blues duo Blues Meets Girl returns for Singer Songwriter Night on Thursday, February 22nd from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Comprised of London born British blues veteran Mr. Downchild and southern born American singer songwriter Kasimira, they bring a smokin' sexy collaboration laced with infectious energy. Their sound is primarily blues influenced, but you'll also hear threads of roots, rock, folk, and jazz. Mr. Downchild's masterful guitar and harmonica coupled with Kasimira's three plus octave vocal range creates dynamic, ethereal melodies that're absolutely entrancing.

Flapping in for their monthly residency, the Flying Fish land on the AYC stage in rare trio pattern Friday, February 23rd from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Bring a smile and your dancing shoes for the special show these local tie-dyed, guitar slangin', harmonica blowin' have in store. We'll be honoring the life and spirit of our dear friend, John Hutchinson, and there's no better way to do that than celebrating him with a wild evening soundtracked by one of his all time favorite bands.

The Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers kick off the 13th Annual Mardi Gras Barkus Pet Parade kicks off across the street at Riverfront park Saturday, February 24th at 11am. Local misfit zydeco swamp rock, pop, americana aficionados Hot Mess take the AYC stage for some Mardi Gras shenanigans on Saturday, February 24th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. The debauchery continues into the dark of night with JB Babich & Steve Fryson from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Pianist John "JB" Babich and drummer Steve Fryson Jr. have been serving up tasty New Orleans grooves since 2016. Their set features the best party tunes NOLA has to offer — classic Big Easy R&B, funky second-lines, Mardi Gras mambos, and more.

Let the good times roll! We'll see you at the Club!
