Upright bassist, singer, songwriter, guitarist, and music teacher, Elizabeth Fravel, graces the AYC stage with Chris Wright for an ethereal Singer Songwriter Night debut on Thursday, October 17th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Prepare to be tantalized by Elizabeth's sparkling melodies and enraptured by Chris' prowess as they transcend genres such as bluegrass, country, and more with a hearty blend of homespun songs that'll rattle a barroom or inspire a listening room in equal measure.
Returning to Apalachicola after a long hiatus, the Kenji Bolden Trio arrives on Friday, October 18th from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Born and raising in Sebring, Florida, Kenji was brought up in a musical home and is known as a prolific soul musician, taking inspiration from his extensive training in gospel. Each performance can be marked by the raw passion heard in every song, ranging from R&B to funk to soul to blues to reggae.
Join us under the twinkling Hangar lights for a special feature presentation this weekend of Emmy Award winning film UNFILTERED: The Truth About Oysters on Saturday, October 19th from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. UNFILTERED is a riveting documentary that explores the truth behind the decline of Florida's oyster fisheries and the real work being done to restore this precious habitat across the state of Florida. After the screening, Emmy nominated singer songwriter Clayton Mathis performs his single from the film, Last Four, accompanied by legendary bassist Lynn Wamp and dobro extraordinaire Lou Wamp from 8:30pm - 10:00pm.
