Spring Fever at the Apalachicola Yacht Club

Ahoy, Mateys!

It's finally starting to feel like spring in Apalachicola! It's been a whirlwind between the 13th Annual Mardi Gras Barkus and the 42nd Annual SGI Chili Cook Off back to back. As the temps rise and Daylight Savings sneaks back up on us this weekend, we've got another weekend of stellar entertainment to keep you grooving through that impending sleep deficit.

Start your week off the right way and join us for Go with the Flow Yoga on Monday, February 26th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Go with the Flow is an active vinyasa flow that'll make you get down, up, and down again while you laugh, play, and cultivate your own yogi strength. $15 gets you all the good vibes you can soak up, plus an additional $2 off a beverage of your choice before, after, or during class!

SINGO — everyone's new favorite national drinking pastime and that's all the new rage — is back again on Tuesday, February 27th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Go ahead and mark every Tuesday in your calendar as Singo night! It's just as simple as it sounds: music bingo. Instead of listening for numbers, you're listening to your favorite tunes! There's only one rule for playing this game: HAVE FUN!

This week's installment of Singer Songwriter Night returns Lane Maury to the stage Thursday, March 7th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm to bring the house down. Lane was reared on traditional country in Cullman, AL, by a steel guitar playing father that played with Roger Miller and Faron Young that instilled a love for the genre which drives his authentic sound. He's been playing live shows all over the southeast for over a decade, and had the opportunity to open for Gene Watson and sang with Marty Raybon of Shenandoah. If you missed his debut in November, don't pass up the opportunity to treat yourself to an evening of smoothy country crooning.

PREPARE TO BE BOARDED — Tallahassee based alternative grunge rock band Temple of the Cat takes the stage on Friday, March 8th from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Dust off your best 90's attire because you won't want to miss this grunge party. Rock out to Temple of the Cat's epic song catalog including AC/DC, Guns 'N Roses, Hole, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, No Doubt, Pantera, Scorpions, and more!

To top it off this weekend, Clayton Mathis & The VonWamps land on the AYC stage Saturday, March 9th from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Grammy award nominated singer songwriter you know and love, Clayton Mathis, is joined by legendary bassist Lynn Wamp and dobro extraordinaire Lou Wamp to dole out hit after hit of covers reimagined in Clayton's unique style featuring poignant originals and perhaps even the debut of a new song!
